Uploaded by the author, NUT is a nutritional analyser for recipes and their ingredients, with the added convenience of serving as an interactive recipe book. In its heart is the nutritional database that lists the ingredients and their nutrient contents. Without this and without the capability of building a user-defined database, the program would not be able to meaningfully analyse the recipes.
The previous version has been listed in AOL's "Featured Files" and in Windows Forum's "Top Picks".
Features include:
- design recipes and do what-if analyses based on the nutrient content of their ingredients
- tells you the nutrient content of the recipes numerically and graphically
- analyse and adjust the recipes according to the sources of individual nutrients
- simultaneously sort, filter and order your recipes by any nutrient, calories, titles, categories, or by any combinations thereof
- look up and check the nutrient content of any ingredient - basically a computerized database of food counts
- build your own custom database, and define your own food categories
- lets you print and fax your recipes along with the nutritional information and with the percentage of daily values
- export your recipes (as in the Print option) to be edited by any modern word processor
